1. Product Overview
The Feeding (Threading) Device is used as an accessory for metal coil processing lines including decoiling–leveling–longitudinal slitting–transverse slitting. It is installed at the exit of the decoiler and the inlet of the leveling machine.
Function: The device lifts, grips, and guides the coil lead end (starting band) so that the curled material head can be smoothly fed into the following roller sets. It replaces manual threading by prying and pulling, thereby reducing labor intensity, eliminating safety hazards associated with thick/wide coil threading, and enabling the production line to rapidly feed and thread. It also helps ensure the incoming strip is centered and prevents misalignment.
Applicable materials: cold-rolled steel strip, hot-rolled coil, galvanized coil, color-coated coil, and stainless-steel coil.

2. Main Working Process
The steel coil is locked on the decoiler expand-shrink mandrel.
The pusher/spade head swings outward and enters beneath the outer coil ring to lift the curled lead end.
The spade head rises and sends the lead end into the between upper and lower pinch feeding rollers.
The pinch feeding rollers close to grip the steel strip; they pull the lead end forward for transport. Side guide rollers correct the lateral position.
The lead end is smoothly delivered to the inlet rollers of the leveling machine. After threading is completed, the spade head returns to its home position; the pinch rollers can be released, and the line resumes normal continuous production.
